There is a difference between taking a picture of something great and taking a great picture of something.
Here at Cupcaketree.com we are fortunate to have so many customers happy with their Cupcaketree experience. We see numerous “fan photos” of personalized Cupcaketrees every week and the majority of these photos are shareable. This helps us add to our online libraries and gives our customers great new decorating ideas so of course we love it!
The down side is that we get photographs of Cupcaketrees worth sharing but the setting is all wrong. What I mean is that the perfect cupcake display was set up in front of the fire extinguisher or the door to the ladies bathroom rendering the photograph unusable.
The next time you set up your Cupcaketree think about the setting. You have thought about every other detail throughout the process and deserve 100% success. The ideal setting is clean and free from distractions because you want people to see how hard you worked and how it paid off.
When you shoot the Cupcaketree take note to what is in the background that is moveable. For example, set grandma’s walker to the side so it is out of the shot. Perhaps the gal in the yellow dress could step aside for a moment. If it is not intentionally adding to the artistry of the photograph it does not belong.
When all else fails zoom in;)
